Since graduating high school, he has gone on to march the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps from 2016 to 2018, and aged out with The Cadets in 2019. He started teaching visual at an early age, starting at his Alma Mater in North Carolina for 3 years, becoming the visual caption head in 2018. In 2019, he moved to Florida, where he has taught at various high schools across the state, bringing multiple state championship runner ups and a 44th placement overall at BOA Grand Nationals at Windermere HS as the visual caption head. Since leaving Windermere, he has taught and been a featured clinician at multiple high schools across the southeast, Texas, and even Hawaii. He has also taught drum corps at the Trooper in 2021, Louisiana Stars in 2022, and The Battalion in 2023. Currently, Austin is a drill writer and visual training specialist, with groups across the eastern seaboard of the US and Hawaii. He is greatly looking forward to bringing his knowledge of the winds circuit to Arizona with Foreword for the 2025 season!
