Winter Percussion is a competitive, music performance-based activity which incorporates marching, choreography, dance, and music to create thematic performances. Unlike traditional color marching band, winter percussion is performed indoors in a gymnasium.

While it has been amazing to see so much growth of this activity, that growth has also come with challenges. Increases in time commitments, financial commitments, and entry skill requirements have pushed the activity out of reach for some. LINEA exists to balance these challenges and help more people experience all this activity has to offer! If you share any of these concerns with us, you are in the right place.

Pursuant to the rules of Winterguard International, we are open to anyone aged 12 to 22.

LINEA will rehearse at Thunderbird High School.

We will be competing in several WGAZ competitions and the WGI Phoenix Regional. Most competitions will be held in the months of March and February, but a detailed list will be provided with a contract.

The fees for the 2027 season will be $650 per participant. This is all inclusive, which means it pays for your music, instrument use, uniform, and other fees associated with performances.

LINEA has a good variety of fundraisers throughout the year that can directly offset a member’s fees. We fundraise a little different in that our primary focus is are our fireworks tents and coffee cart. Members (or a representative) can volunteer for these events and receive an hourly credit towards their fees. Yes, members can, and have, paid for an entire season this way with no money out of pocket.
