Winterguard is a competitive, performance-based activity which incorporates choreographed staging, dance, and manipulation of equipment such as flags, prop rifles, and sabres. Unlike traditional color guard, winter guard is performed indoors, usually in a gymnasium.

Pursuant to the rules of Winterguard International, we are open to anyone aged 12 to 22.

Both ensembles currently rehearse at Thunderbird High School.

Both teams will be competing in several WGAZ competitions and the WGI Phoenix Regional. The Open team will be competing in an additional WGI regional in California. Most competitions will be held in the month of March, but a detailed list will be provided with a performance contract.

The fees for the 2027 season are still in the process of being established based on the anticipated expenses of the season. Cost for the 2026 season was $600 per participant, this will likely be comparable to the 2027 fees for the A team. The Open class fees will be more based upon travel expenses.
